browse the svn repo. look at xmodmap/

select whichever *.map you're using.

select diff to previous.

In the *-us.map, you would add

keycode 36 = KP_Enter

in /usr/share/kb-maps/*-us.map

thank you very much. For some reason I could not find direct instructions like this anywhere. I am feeling rather inadequate. ;-)

So - new question. This fix "disables" the select key. Can it also
be mapped back to what it should be - like how both shift keys are
mapped to the same thing? I mostly use it for when I lock the screen,
which I can no longer do now that the key doesn't work. Any ideas?
