I'm pretty sure Sygic got Australia maps and New Zealand.

Take a look. The map is not 100% complete but very good.

I availed myself of the Australian (and New Zealand) maps and tried it for a few weeks. It was okay, but I decided to use a standalone navigational device for TBT, so I don't have it any longer. There seemed to be a little too much lag in updating the position of the vehicle, and as I use Three as my provider, data wasn't available everywhere I went which caused issues.

I think you can try use symbian maps for Maemo5 Sygic. It just need a little modification to the setting file to make it work. 
I've tried maemo map on N97mini and it worked!
