So it seems that the meego touch framework in N9 is not that open

I might try at some point to make a .desktop holder application, but don't count too much on that (or at least not too soon).
I haven't contacted cordia to see if their desktop implementation can be reused, nor qgil to ask for opening the launcher screen.

Perhaps some altered flavour of Cordia'a our best hope?
Either that or seeing if QGi's able to open up some more of the touch framework.
Without getting his *** handed to him by management!

I asked qgil there, but based on post 393 of the thread, it may be a bit more complicated to ask for opening components, and I don't have the time or the knowledge yet to see it through.
As for Cordia, I can't really ask them for something if I don't intend to do anything about it
Unless someone wants to dedicate some time (in that case I'll do my best to help), I'll first finish my current project before more effort into this one.

Since that's the project that'll benefit from Nokia opening more parts of Harmattan's GUI.
