i cleared my device and lost the emoctions for SMS, Skype emoctions work but while choosing it in sms it shows me the available but when i click on it nothing happens and if someone sends me a smiley i get a scrap book logo, how do i get back my emoctions ?

Can anyone tell me why there is a limit to the number of emoticons? Going over that limit reverts the emoticons to the text default.
I am working on a round-a-bout way of putting emoji on N9 in Facebook, Skype and texting.
After this it reverts to default

it didnt actually help, but thanks anyway;p the solution was luckily backed up on my phone xD
just copy this folder in your /home/user/ directory on your phone the folders name is: .emoticonthemecache
and your emoticons will be back
and then restart

Edit: I got it to work. I had copied the folder in the MyDoc directory inadvertently. Thanks again for your help!!

im guessing that theme name on that xml file is the internal theme, u can define it in that xml and prolly on some emoticon config file.
the service id, is from original service, like msn, skype, fb.
they all have different ids, the phone only calls the internal image file and associates with the right id so the other person not nokia n9 receives the right emoticon.

After flashing my n9, most of the emoticons for messages are lost. Some of them are still functional. I did what it's said above but result is same. I couldnt get the emoticons back. What and how do i need to do exactly to get them back?

The sms emiticons seems to be in:
/usr/share/themes/blanco/meegotouch/icons
and is called:
icon-s-messaging-smiley-xxxxxx
if i'm not mistaken.
In the path the OP posted my default folder is empty?
