ah yes, forgot to say that if you don't know how to short circuit d+ and d- on the cable then don't try this at home.

And if you don't want to break your fancy micro usb cable, then you can get usb flex adapter from ebay for under 2euro:

I got a few usb flex adapters from ebay that I ordered and I made few charger adapters where I short circuited d+ and d-, works fine, now the nonstandard chargers are regognized as valid ones. Here's the pics:

I suggest you disconnect the wires and short the wires, so that the female d+/d- pins are connected, and the male d+/d- pins are unconnected. 2 reasons:

1. never connect 2 outputs (they're probably protected against this, but just in case ...)
2. as seen in another thread, shorting alone, may not be enough. http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=90146
