But let me ask you this...how much you wanna bet that it will not be October? We can swap Karma (thanks)... if its in October I get your Karma, if its earlier or later than October you get mine....

It definitely wont ship before the summit. Otherwise what is the point of having a maemo 5 experience area in the summit. Now how long after the summit... is any one's guess.

Yeah, I think Tim is right. The Maemo 5 experience areas are probably to let us get our hands on it before it's public... you know, play around with it, stuff like that.

That's the only explanation!

After all, if it was shipping before the Summit, everyone at the Summit would own a Maemo 5 device by that point, right? What's the point of letting people try devices that they all own?

Because if the rx-51 costs best part of 400 GBP, then not everyone will be buying one immediately. Also what about the rx-71? could this show up here?
Also as the rx-51 is looking like a phone, to be honest playing with a phone without being able to use it for a while as a phone is of limited use IMHO
