I'm waiting for more time -- tomorrow. I will comment.

Alright, EIPI and zerojay just earned quotes in the presentation. There's still room for a few more!

There.

I'll think about it more, too.

Okay, I'm looking for content...

If you guys had to build the ideal FOSS coding team for Maemo efforts, what sort of roles do you see as necessary? What's the minimum team size needed for a solid, sustained project? What's the maximum? What other aspects do you see as critical?

Keep in mind I'm looking for opinions here, but well-reasoned ones.

Thanks!

Sneak preview:

I'd be interested in hearing interpretations of this slide, without me saying anything. It's not meant to be 100% standalone as is, but some concepts should come across.

  • Project manager (who can also be the Lead programmer or lead UI/UX)
  • Lead UI/UX (can also be lead front-end designer)
  • Lead front-end designer
  • Lead programmer
  • Co-coder (can also be a co-designer)
Making an optimal team 3 people (up to 5 if everyone had specific tasks).

I was thinking that intuitively, Tim, but big thanks for quantifying!

I know you want interpretations, but since I'm drawing a blank I'm going to give you a suggestion instead:

Warm it up. Here's an image I stole from the RX-51 review. Use something like this to replace your "individual" double-arrow. I hate to see individuals trying to go in two directions at once.

I appreciate the feedback.

I may well replace some symbols, but there was a reason behind the double arrow on both Corporate and Individuals, to illustrate that they tend to struggle between community (shared) goals and selfish goals. But yeah, I'm open to improved symbology for sure... and I'm already looking to simplify the slide anyway.
