Nice. Sketches (or what is the correct word for them?) what you can find in nokias own guide are JUST perfect. Real images give you "too much information" and they do not fit in guide.

Maybe i should post my current version somewhere in wiki as sandbox.

I kinda got that without looking at the link, after all no one has PR1.2 to say the order changed (except Nokia employees), if you want I'll submit mine when I finish it here.

Edit: reverted wiki and edited it, it follows Marcell's way of flashing but I noted that you have to remove -R and removed the line that says You should now update your firmware.
I'll try to get some sketches.

All done - and Sygic working

I intend to come back to this and try overclocking again with a fresh system, As I now know that I can flash firmware, eMMC and reinstall Sygic in 5-10 mins

Happy ending for me - and I've learned some usefull stuff along the way, but I sense I kicked something off for you guys ?
Was'nt my intention to cause any problems, so I hope everything is cool ?

Gonna get some sleep now, been a long day !
Thanks again guys

Sygic seems faster to me (I'm at 800 mhz).

I noticed the flashing guide seemed to contradict itself, but I didn't want to get the reputation of being the wrong sort, so I didn't mention it. I'm glad some other people noticed.

Great to see the it worked mate

Nah you didn't kick off anything lol, I noticed the wiki a long time ago but it was asked about TWICE today, so I decided to edit it. Thanks go to slender for hinting out why it was edited.
For some reason I think Nokia wanted to release PR1.2 but they might have realized something, the wiki edit shouldn't have been done before the firmware was released, but I'm not here to tell other people's jobs, especially Nokia employees
Fixed the contradictions in the wiki, hopefully everyone's happy now

So you're faster in the place you we're driving or it gives just orders much quicker (you must go faster to keep up the sygic?)?

EDIT: I'm only joking if somebody doesnt get it

.edit
Funny (or sad) thing is that after when i flashed my fiasco image my N900 booted up automatically.
I fully agree with that : as a new user, it's totally confusing for me.
"Flash always the FIASCO image first" doesn't mean anything for me because no explanation about what a FIASCO image really is.

And I just have to add that I have been working on various operating systems (OS370, Pick systems, Unix/Linux systems, Microsoft Windows) for quite 40 years now.

Please, when talking about critical operations like flashing or restoring systems to non expert people, be totally clear and exhaustive. Thanks a lot in advance.
