/me goes down memory lane

Zimon, read up on Motorola EZX. It was a Linux (real Linux, not just kernel) based OS that had a Qt based UI and ran (only) Java based 3rd party applications. The locked down Linux combined with the horrors of Java sucked so hard it wasn't funny, and it took years of rope-tugging with Motorola to hack together a decent/reasonably open/usable version of it. Any platform that includes Dalvik is dead or on the path to being assimilated into Android. It might die if it doesn't include it, too, but as I already said, there is no interest in it on the vendor side (you get all the drawbacks and hardly any benefits).
