But i think a 60fps low resolution ( vga or lower ) if it's not hard to implement it would be a cool addition
If we assume that camera can produce 60 FPS, Can the encoder cope with 60 FPS? That's why I need to check.

Let's summarize so I don't get lost:
You have gps and geotags enabled but camera+ keeps asking for connection and stock camera does not.
You have gps and geotags enabled but images captured via camera+ do not have location in exif while those captured by stock camera do have location info in exif.

Am I right?

Did you try both of them at the same time?

It takes a while for GPS to get a fix and the problem is both stock camera and camera+ use the same code for obtaining a gps fix :/

no I didn't take the pictures at the same time

I will do some more test tomorrow though with different settings....

EDIT:

so I played around a bit and it turns out that if I'm connected, pictures taken after the location icon stops blinking do indeed have geotags.

no connection - no geotags

I also noticed that connection requests occur after that icon stops blinking

maybe that narrows it down a bit

The icon is blinking until it gets a GPS fix.

After a fix has been obtained, reverse geocoding starts.

The location coordinates should be in the exif tags after the icon stops blinking.
The country, city and suburb should be in the exif tags if the reverse geocoding query succeeds.

The problem was camera+ was trying all the time to initiate a reverse geocoding query (which needs connection). I fixed it now so it'd not retry if a network error has occurred. I hope this will fix the issue

here goes 0.0.14
* Some small tweaks for icons
* Make sure video scene mode indicator is always visible when it's not set to auto
* Change the color of selected toolbar item to #0080FF
* Make the selected toolbar item background rectangular with rounded corners
* Added label to most of the toolbar options
* Limit image zooming in post capture to 4x
* Disable reverse geocoding if a communication error has occurred

Enjoy!

I just tried to reinstall... Works fine here!

Try to install via terminal and post the output if that fails....
