Oh darn, I just took pictures too (backed it up again since I did quite a bit of customizing). I guess there's no need to post the pics then since bun linked to a page that explains it quite well (just modify the steps for the tablet's partition).

Uh uh no! You did work, you should post it and get credits for it. We all eager waiting to look at it. I am waiting for my acronis to put everything together. I am kind of time tight in the next couple of week taking care of some business..., not a happy chore, somebody got to do it type business.

Hmm I can't seem to access the wiki with my maemo login. I login on the wiki page, it brings me to the maemo frontpage. I click on Wiki and then it asks me to login again.

I am quite interested to see all the pieces of the linux method put together in the wiki. But, Bun, once you use acronis, you're gonna find it hard to use anything else. It's a dream. The other day an app I installed started doing something funny, so I just reformatted my bootable SD, popped it in the card reader, and in five minutes I had my OS of three days ago back up and running.

We should have both.

That's what Linux is about, the freedom of choice.

And I've used Acronis myself back in the Windows only days. It worked like a dream, only reason why I don't use it anymore is my version is slightly outdated and I don't use Windows that often anymore.

Sorry to dig this up but... I recently picked up True Image Personal 10.0. I'm trying to backup my cloned SD card. TI sees the card but when I run backup, I get an Operation Failed error with no details. I asked on Acronis forums but this is what I got:

"Thank you for your interesting in Acronis True Image

SD cards are treated as removable media, Acronis True Image can’t backup it. You can use removable media as storage device, so you can’t backup your applications from the phone."

They think the N800 is a phone. Oh well, any ideas what's going wrong from those of you that use TI?

Thanks!

I have acronis TI Home version 11.0. I also have no real tech skilz.

Have you tried a simple reboot before inserting your card reader? If not, give that a try. Sometimes I get some sort of failure with TI and have to reboot.

Other than that, I'm not really sure what might be going on. Sorry!

Yeah, I've tried rebooting, run as adminstrator, SD in card reader, SD in N800. Probably something stupid in Vista.
I installed Partimage on my daughter's netbook and backed it up that way. Not a big deal but TI should work! Too bad they don't give you any idea what the problem is.

Thanks for the help.
