Now, if I flash it, will the warranty get void?

and is there a nice tutorial to Flash Maemo in N900 for first timers?
just download the flasher software and the firmware version which you want to download

go to the link below.....you can flash it with jus 5 steps.....and its nothng sort of a big techinal thing to do.....so dont worry......

just read the simple instructions from the link....i did it like that only....

Always remember to select the latest firmware version...that is PR 1.2.....

you can choose global,US or UK firmwares.....all are better than indian versions.....

Abhijeet,

Your warranty won't get void if you reflash it to indian firmware before taking it to nokia support centre.

Haha Abhijeet, it's not really a trick...it's actually a loophole that someone from the nokia's care centre in India told to one of their customers....i read it in one of the threads on this forum....lol....if your phone stops working, then get a new battery

hehe....enjoy !

If I remember correctly, in India you can't encrypt any traffic. Skype uses encryption and thats why it's not in firmware.

Try to post in the most specific sub-forum you can find.
