I like his design, too, and will try to implement it.
The first version was made in a hurry to take part at the Coding Competition, so there are also some bugs to fix and additional features (first of all, automatic checking and loading data from previous matchdays, if there are any changes) to implement.

But please don't nail me down to a fixed date, because I do this in my freetime and I'm very busy atm at work and can not say, when I'll find the time.

Hi EmaNymton,

Could a python script be implemented whereby one's favourite team's live score appears on the LPS using Billboard?

That would then allow a user's LPS to be updated and he doesn't even need to unlock the screen?

Thanks!

Yes, it would be possible but is a little bit tricky because Billboard displays only script-output within 1000 ms and the data request tooks longer than that.

So you have to store the data locally somewhere and use a script to get the local data on LPM:

Thanks!

So how does one use a script to fetch the data from MeeGoal?

Even if Billboard has a 1000ms time-out can't a sh script fetch the data and then the python script prints the output of the sh script?

I'll try to finish my WIP you see on the twitter-link and upload the script, but it's far from end-user friendly.

Thanks! Looking forward to it even if it isn't end-user friendly

This looks great! Maybe one thing to consider: Using black text on green background (for scorers) might not be the best for a high contrast. Maybe you could try white text?

Best regards

@fredson:
Will try white text instead of black, thanks for the suggestion

@thedead1440 and other interested billboard users
I updated the first post with the scripts and a little instruction to show your fav-team match on LPM.
As I said it's not really user-friendly and very quick and dirty, so feel free to modify it and make it even better

Yeah, I agree regarding white font color on green flyout.
Had also tried black when creating the mockups, but also felt white works better.

Besides that, I had the idea of possibly giving the user a color palette in order to let him adjust anything that is now green to the color of the users favorite team, but that would also require a change of font color on flyout I guess!? Well maybe not if the color palette has only rather dark options...

Cool, already added to billboard
Changed it to my favorite team and text alignment to "right", seems to work so far, lets see if it updates during next match ;-)
Do I get it right that meegoal_lpm_backend.py needs to be run after every reboot?
