it's not a problem of wazapp (my friends doesn't have this problem), for the long time of upload you have a slow connection

even more idle battery consumption with this latest version - 68mA... also noticed in htop two pulseaudio processes with high priority flags after installing this latest version, hope it could be of some help...

Thanks a lot for all your dedication. Just a small query...
I have the previous ver. 20092012 which perfectly works fine like a charm. and I dont face any bugs or issues.

Just to know, are there any new features added in this latest ver.
21092012 which I might be missing in the last one.
If so, then I will install this. If the new one only has bug-fixes, then I will keep the previous 20092012, as I dont face any issues with it.

Kindly update me on this please...

yes new features are added. here's what i noticed:
1) notifications in the wazapp dialogues is in green squircle now (which disappears with a sexy effect, when opened).
2) you can use chat alert (from phone settings) in wazapp as chat ringtone. (doesnt works me for me, others reported its working fine).
3) status update works again.
4) profile dialogue is modified (larger photo, status area modified).
5) no more crashes if a call is recieved while wazapp is open.

after the reboot the increased idle consumption (and two pulseaudio processes are) solved... hasn't been the case with 1909 and 2009, no matter how many times I've been rebooting and using it without the .db - hope it won't come again…
