I just wanted to tell you that the Neo900 is the phone I've been dreaming about for years! I didn't buy GTA04 based phone in the past because of the tiny resistive touchscreen, Replicant OS doesn't run on it yet, I wanted N900 form factor (slide out query keyboard), etc.
Will the touch screen support pinch to zoom in OS's that support it? Also, I'm concerned about the touch sensitivity of resistive touch screens.
Do you have any idea when I'll be able to buy a complete Neo900? Six months? One year? Three years? I'd like to register a pre-order, but don't want to pay until you are ready to manufacturer and ship.
Thanks,
R.
What a terrific project!
Please add me to your mail list to be notified as soon as this becomes
available. I will gladly buy one (or two or three!).. anything to extent
the life of my favorite Linux tablet/phone and avoid iOS and Android.
Sincerely,
F.

The N900 digitizer is exceptionally sensitive, completely different league to GTA02

The ebay sourced ones though mostly aren't. This one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nokia-N900-T...torefresh=true seems almost as good (if not exactly the same) with original N900 digitizer, but it's quite expensive.
(Can't compare if it is exactly like the original as the original tends to get softer after long use, and I don't have a new N900)

First off props to op for undertaking such an ambitious project. I wish you success, I would buy anything for a good qwerty phone and I am definitely interested in this phone.
Few questions:
Is n900 the best choice as far as the hardware goes?
Phones such as n97, e7 and n950 feature a much bettee industrial design and qwerty.
