4) open xterm
sudo gainroot
mkfs.ext3 /dev/mmcblk1p2
mount /dev/mmcblk1p2 /and
cd /and
bunzip2 /home/user/MyDocs/NitDroid-0.0.8-Popov.tar.bz2
tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/NitDroid-0.0.8-Popov.tar
dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/.nitdroid/nitdroid-kernel-2.6.28-06_final1_armel.deb

So then i rebooted and the device just shut down. Now if i press the power button it vibrates, shows NOKIA logo and then shuts down again.

and yes i had nitdroid 0.0.7 installed with autoinstaller..
is ur battery full?
otherwise u can flash the kernel..
u dun need to flash the full firmware
http://rapidshare.com/files/41787469...2.6.28-maemo40
flasher-3.5 -l -b -k <kernel>
you can say thanks
this is temp btw.. it jus loads the kernel so that u can find out what u did wrong..
but if u wanna flash it, replace the -l with -f
btw, check the battery first..
i think thats the issue

Hello dj_steve,

Are you going to update the post on http://forum.nitdroid.com/index.php?topic=315.0 to show that the installer works with 0.0.08 now?

I may update this afternoon. Spotty 3G coverage inside the school....and crazy secure Hidden Wifi......

Thank you and your team for all of the work on NITDroid

You should probably mention this is only for those who have already installed nitdroid-installer before.

What wifi speeds are you getting under nitdroid 0.0.8?

It's taking me like 3 hours to download a 6Mb file.

What do you think is my problem? I was getting great speeds in 0.0.7.
