hmmm

"This is nothing special. Happens market leaders all the time. Over and over again. "

My perspective

Apple averaging around 547, FIVE HUNDRED and forty seven

Nokia averaging around 2, TWO

Apple largest company in the world bar none.

Nokia fastest decline of stock price ever in the history of the stock market worldwide.

Just saying .. what do I know, this is a Maemo forum and when all the Apple/Win8 fanbois leave there will still be a Maemo forum and I will still support Maemo.

ps. Have I mentioned how much I like Maemo on the N900, probably the best phone in the world.

pps. Does mentioning two different stocks count as mentioning stock twice?

Not saying apples mega stock lose has begun yet, they are still selling massive amounts of products still lost 20% in no time. Apple have been there, at the edge before, far worse than nokia is now. And they will soon be there again.

IMO Apple has been a bubble for some time. Their stock has been worth like way too many of them dollars per device they sell, That can't last.

If anything, Nokia has been underrated. But they're getting rid of assets and can't get rid of employees fast or cheap enough, so they're bleeding. They're (relatively) not worth a lot on the sxc now, and if they do not get rid of their employees before they run out of assets to sell, they won't be worth anything much when liquidated either.

The problem with Apple is they make devices that people love or hate. All you need is love, that's the truth, except when you hate it. MS makes stuff people love to hate. Google make stuff people simply just use. Nokia makes the cool stuff.

Microsoft drops a dollar after the Windows unit president unexpectedly quits a short time after the Windows 8 release.

Nokia is down too, but not too much:

Who? Never heard of'em.
Apple, you called them:

I tried Samsung Electronics for completeness, but they're not on the exchange.

Hi Volt, ta, nice to get a comparison.

See Android now has 72% market share according to one report.

Interesting thoughts on Windows 8
