I actually have a git branch somewhere of Miniature with checkers. But what online service would you want to use?

Ciao jukey
The backend already as a full undo stack for each game. It is used when FICS detects an invalid move, for example.

I am thinking that we could bundle Qt Components with Miniature, for Fremantle. Will also help with other platforms, say desktop. Inean, your thoughts?

inean, here are your fremantle branches:

https://gitorious.org/miniature/mini...mits/fremantle
https://gitorious.org/miniature/pack...mits/fremantle (Fremantle specific packaging)

You can see that I tried pushing new versions to extras-devel, too:
maemo.org/packages/view/miniature/

However, this will still not work out of the box. For one, the fremantle branches still have Qt Components 1.1 specific things, so if you could cook up a patch that removes these things – that'd be great.

And then, how are people with only extras-devel going to get a working Qt Components?

I need your help here.

I know, right now Vlad from meecast is my guinea pig :P. Problem is that current qt-components from extras devel is broken and maintainer is silently about replace it with my own version.

So, with a bit of luck, those are my plans:
* clean qt-component-icons and autogenerate missing images so packages like butaca works with base theme (Done)
* push this and qt-components to extras-devel as qt-components-10 wich works with Qt 4.7.0
* and in the long term, put a qt-components-11 which requires Qt 4.7.4

My advice is to not push miniature to extas-devel until qt-components-10 arrives.

Salu2

PD. Feel fee to contact me for everything you need

Too late :-) There was no other way for me to build Fremantle packages.

Natural consequence of your great work, that lead to us committing to bring official Maemo support for Miniature 0.5.

Let me see if I can find a bit of time this weekend.[/QUOTE]

Pssst! Alternatively you can remind us all the rest of bugs open we have targeting 0.5.

Errrr! The package uploaded in devel has many problems:

Its not optified.
The .desktop files are pointing somewhere else.
The (I guess) unnecessary header files.
The game doesn't start while trying to run the app via command line.

Code:
Preloading theme "blanco" from cache
qrc:/main.qml:26:18: Type MainPage unavailable
qrc:/MainPage.qml:277:13: "Text.lineHeight" is not available in QtQuick 1.0.
Welcome to Miniature!
Then a blank screen.

I have uninstalled qtquick components and reinstalled the new qtquick packages.

Any Idea what I am missing.

Miniature uses stuff from Qt Components 1.1, whereas N900 only has "official" support for 1.0 – which is idiotic of course, because instead of turning the N900 into a developer device for those who want to target the N9, we are left with a taste of the dreaded QML balkanization, where every device could have its own component set :-(
