I've searched the forums but can't find any solutions to this particular problem:
When I go into usb host mode on my n810 (latest version of Diablo) using usbcontrol I immediately get one warning that the usb device is not supported even though I haven't plugged anything in yet

That's most likely a ke-recv bug: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/maemo/users/50359
I don't use USB host, myself, but I remember hearing in a bug report somewhere that you need to have a USB gadget module inserted before it'll work (g_ether / g_file_storage are two that are shipped with the N8x0). But other people have used USBControl fine and they haven't been inserting USB gadget modules. I also do not know if this holds true for OS2008 but, like I said, I do not use USB host.
Thanks
