Actually, the only number that really counts is the number that paid! Currently zero, although I still am planning on purchasing...

Who claim to have ordered! Perhaps all accounts here are just sockpuppets.

You are making an assumption. An assumption that order numbers are a) sequential and b) starting from 1. None of which has been officially confirmed.
Seriously ?
If you want the last word, then take it, I leave it to you...

I don't need your approval to take with a pinch of salt everything I see from f(x) or anyone else. I don't know how they are allocated, but maily those are only pre-orders numbers, they are not real orders in any way, and everything can change when people are asked to give real money.

I simply shared a fact : I got a pre-order number in the range 17400. If you don't want to take that simple fact as it is, and try to make me say something else, then so be it, I won't fight more...

I would take that number with a pinch of salt. Technically the pre order needs no deposit, so I'm sure that number is inflated with speculators and people who have no intention of buying the device. Hopefully not many...

Regardless that number is impressive. Just based on interest alone, fxtec team has drummed up quite the response. I wish they did more to get their name out there though.

Really depends on your use case, if you need it just for notifications, take a look at Chinese brands or hybrids like Kronaby, both are cheaper than Galaxy Gear.

Huawei looks good, but I prefer classic-like hybrids.

Not everyone will like it of course (especially if having multiple devices, then it is mandatory to be able to type without looking at the keys), and not everyone will want to go through the learning curve. This sounds interesting. Never thought of it that way. I do see the use... On top of all the pros you said, I also wouldn't need to fiddle with keyboard layouts on any OS running on virtual machines...

I'd rather use one keyboard layout only, though. (I think) I can only buy machines with Scandic layout in Finland... And ordering abroad complicates warranty matters. So that's a con. But some keyboards can be changed to another layout, at least with some laptops...

But anyways, that's a good point and I need to think this through! Thanks!
