Does your start with a3959780 too? The version string is inside the cert, you may need to choose which certificate to write back to CAL.

Good luck to you anyway, be careful.

Yes. Mine starts with a3959780 also.
I extracted all certs so far (cert-sw).

I assume that the ones that have the string "cert-sw" are relevant. For the latest (40) there are seertal (think I counted apx 12),

Well, mine had nine of them, but I only cared to extract first one, the last one, and the one from PR1.3 European version, which I flashed. All three were attached to my original post.
Wish you good luck again.

great, then I am (almost) ready to brick my device hehe.
FYI. I have no need to really downgrade. Everything is in perfect condition. This is purely interest in the subject, but also, perhaps, helpfull for those with fx Chinese FW

Good luck bricking your device then

I still don't completely understand if the following quote refers for zeroing out certificate or just changing it, but if it's the former, then perhaps after some testing it's possible to make an app for downgrading for the eager ones. (not that anyone expects upgrades from Nokia anymore )

P.S. Can you compare your certificates with one in my tar.gz (matching the version of course)? I wonder if it's dependant on the phone indeed.

Hmm no luck in closed mode

(devel-su and develsh before issuing cal-writer command)

Code:
Debug: 2: cal_init() called
Error: open(/dev/mtd1): Permission denied
Couldn't open CAL for writing

Who cares about closed mode?
Just flash open mode, downgrade and the flash anew PR1.3 and you are back to stock
