its a bit more complex than recompilng. we could use updated/patched 0.10 source, but upgrading to 1.0 or later might be difficult due to closed components not working with API changes. http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/dat...rting-1.0.html
Codecs were looked into in 720p thread. A company was found that did updated codecs. last i heard we were waiting for council to contact after a failed attempt by someone else.
