Not everybody wants full access anyway
Ive installed ExpanDrive and mapped it as a drive (just the internal Mass Storage directory). Its perfect, no more wires for me Plus I think I have cracked a way of syncing music/playlists/pictures to that drive. If only this were integrated in the Nokia software..

Putting it all in a nice tutorial would surely get you a ton of "thanks" and most important, appreciation

Consider it

Using ExpanDrive on windows is almost too easy
And it works on Win7 x64.

You can get demo from here.

1. Install it
2. Be sure that your N900 is connected to your wifi and that you installed OpenSSH Server on it
3. After installation you will get this window. Enter your details.

Drive Name: custom (e.g. N900)
Server: 192.168.x.x (install myip widget)
Username: root
Password: your password that you entered when you installed OpenSSH
Directory: I selected show only and entered "/home/user/MyDocs"

That is all the info I had to enter.

4. Click connect and you will see your N900 in windows explorer

[QUOTE=chrisp7;482198]Hi,
Id love to be able to map my N900 Mass storage disk via wifi or if not possible a folder to Windows - is this possible?

Your N900 will show up as a drive on your winXP, Dokansshfs, http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=23932, thread #8

it works for me on my winXP. It is Not as stable as winSCP though.

Are you still getting a message from Windows 7 saying "Disconnected Network Drive" even though it actually is connected and working?

Nope for me it is working without any problems. When I double click created connection in Expandrive it tells me: Your connection to 'N900' was successfully established on drive M.

And that is it

I've just posted a thread on best way to do a script to sync folders say from network work share > n900,and just copy over the changes. I would allow me to auto sync my music etc when "I" want as will instigate it from my n900.
