I've been following the neo900 project off & on for awhile, though I wasn't sure I could afford one at first. Recently I checked back and realized I could manage it.

Thats when I learned of the paypal problem. I'd write them to try and help, but I currently don't have an account (due to hearing too many stories).

I would really like to send my down payment for parts sourcing, but I am not entirely clear what the alternative methods are. Also, should I be worried (or waiting I guess) for the project to get to the next step since a chunk of the funds for parts are frozen?
I believe a more open phone such as this is Sorely needed, and am hoping to become an active member here.

I have no words adequate for how I feel.
I have been and am still a firm believer in the neo team and project.
I have the money for my board...total cost...too.
For me it isn't about having the money.
Nor any issue at all with anyone or anything.
Here.

Not meaning to "air my laundry",
it remains that I do owe my friends an explanation.
My personal life is falling into ruins.
My partner has not been interested (in the slightest) in couples counseling or reconciliation...she's just been letting me dangle in the air for months.
Now things have come to a head.
And my partner wants a divorce
...and this means court.
And this means every square penny I have I will now need if I wish to survive the ordeal at all.

To say all around in every way I am horrified is an understatement.
The device of my dreams will have to wait for the second run of neo's at best ....
or perhaps third (if there is one) run...
and at worst the next release of the successor to the neo900...
I will not know how bad the damage will be until the dust of our relationship settles .

Lastly ..above and beyond my personal life crumbling...
I feel totally sick to my stomach saying this ...
I must ask for a refund based on these extenuating circumstances...
And bow out of the running for a 1st run neo ...
for the time being until the uncertainty of my life and finances are rock solid and stable again... to afford one.
...then if any are available..reorder at that time.

I still believe in the project...and the team...unswervingly...
I still want a neo...
I still intend on getting a neo ...and if not a neo...it's successor.
But at this moment I just cannot do it.

Gosh I'm sorry to hear this. You've been a very active and positive member of this community. I sure hope you're still able to hang out with us.

@endsormeans wish there was more I can do, but to tell you. I feel your pain.
I also am sure we will see you return.

Oh I'm not going anywhere brothers.
I love this place and all you.. my friends..too much to leave.
I could never leave..
I like helping however I can...
I may not be as vocal (I'm sure many will breathe a small sigh of relief at this ) over the next little while...but I'll be present daily ..reading and chiming in and helping what I can ...a bit...our maemo home is a respite from the horrible ordeal of what I'm facing...this place is a sanctuary frankly.
But the other 90% of my days for the immediate present and future... I have to deal with planning the division of our life and who will get what and how much...

And honestly... that is where my uncertainty weighs in as to how much I will have in my hands afterwards.
I may end up in tight straits afterwards or I may end up A-Ok ...one never knows in situations such as this.

Bloody hell...if there is a way I could hang on ...
hell I've got half the price of the board already sitting with the neo team...
I just don't know how fast or slow it would take to give them the rest at this very moment.
I really don't want to bow out and would seriously consider any suggestions or course of actions to get the device I've been waiting years for.

And guys ...
your care and concern for me and not just for me...either..but for all our fellows ...is one of the prime reasons why I love this place...and the good friends in it.
It is enough to break down and weep...
you guys know who and what you are..
you all are amoung the best people I have had the honour of knowing...
