Hi there
I recently adquired a nokia N900 internet tablet with maemo 5
I dont know how to install software from the repositories, because they dont connect it.
I want to use my N900 with some apps, like pidgin, internet browser and so on, how i can do it?

But take into consideration that even after you are able to install additional software packages you would not be able to connect to many online services for various reasons.

You use either these instructions to use current Maemo 5
https://www.dt.iki.fi/nokia-n900-resurrect
Or then you check new Maemo Leste which doesn't yet have call functions but is with new kernel and coming fast

On maemo 5 search also for guides using the default micro-b browser and also how to enable TLS stuff on Opera Mobile to resolve some problems. nginx setup needed for all https to work on a browser.

I try to resurrect the N900 with maemo, and its work.
But better, i now have Maemo Leste! Its so awesome to have a "smartphone" with a real linux inside.
