galaxy s has hdmi output via micro usb
someone can develop an application for the n900
that allowing hdmi with the micro usb
(like the noBounds R.I.P)

N900 has no physical hdmi signal generators, and currently we don't even know how to onvince the usb controller and phy to do hostmode, let alone convince them to produce arbitrary signals.

It is kind of pointless:
4.95 gigabits is the max data output of a HDMI channel (5068 megabits)
USB only gives you about 2400 megabits

The N900 does not have the capacity for HD video/audio out (nor does the Galaxy S)

I did not know that the galaxy did that via microusb. Are you sure? That is a very good idea for the N900

Is sad to say, but you cant compare the HD features of the Galaxy S (both in hardware as software level) with the N900

Well of course you can output video/audio thru a USB/HDMI adapter but it will not be HD.
