I was just at the Maemo site and don't see a good address listed to report problems with the Maemo site. There has been an epidemic of users who when they go to install a deb file, it comes up as a document rather than installs. It has happened to me with the programs they list as well. See the current thread on .deb files.

It seems to be something wrong with the MAEMO site. What is the best address to contact?

Can't Maemo put an address to contact in case of problems with a site? If there is one, where would I find it on the site?

Depending on what you want, one of the maemo-users mailing list or Bugzilla sound like the right point.

Bugzilla has a function specifically for reporting site issues.

Great. It has already been reported in Bugzilla. Maybe six months from now, if the issue gets enough votes, Maemo will fix its site? If Bugzilla was down, where would that be reported? Write your Congessmn?

All sarcasm aside, vote and comment. Encourage others to do so as well. I'm not trying to be cheeky, but that is the flip side of a platform supporting free, open software.

That isn't a big problem, IMHO. I just save the .deb's on a PC and copy them on a card that I use in my 770.

Yes, we need a more descriptive "Feedback" page pointing you to the right directions.

https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1807 is already a known issue. No need to vote, we should fix it anyway. It is known that commenting bugs helps the assigned developer remember, though. I have linked this thread at the bug report, so at least the developer in charge knows.
