Hi,

I am very very new at developing for the 770 and at using Linux in general. Anyway, I have a C program that I would like to install on the 770. I have scratchbox and everything working. I tried the instructions on the maemo website but the package failed to build due to a missing makefile and target.

Basically, can anyone give me instructions how to make a debian package out of my C program?

Thanks

You should try PyPackager http://khertan.net/downloads/Softwar...-0.5.0.all.deb by Khertan

With this tool you can create the package -on- the device itself, works great for me.

You can find the instructions here: http://khertan.net/softwares/pypackager.php

No idea if it works on a 770 though.

That seemed to do something but I have no idea where to find the supposedly installed package now.

Uhm, it doesn't install a package, it creates it. The packages is created in the same directory where the source directory resides.
