Same here. Funny thing is if you go to Buy.com and bring up the N800 "BuyTV" showcase, that video plays fine (I just did that to test it)

But as far a caching a video. Lets say you like watching car reviews like Top/Fifth gear episodes. Do you really want to let it pre-cache in real time an 5 or 6 minute video just to watch it again?

I'm taking the OrbThis route once I figure out how to get it to work. I hear it supposed to lock the bit rate to stream smoother.

Had the same problem. Not anymore. Earlier in October I on a trip in the USA I noticed that public WIFI (mall in DC, from Smithonian) and Hotel WIFI (CourtYard, Hampton, Comfort Inn) provided an excellent streaming video. Starbucks also. However not every coffee shop provided a good connection. Back at home (NL) I checked KPN hot spots: same result. Bought a new router (Lynksys) and: problem solved (4Mbits Cable). Streaming video /radio on Youtube and VideoCenter without any problems.

I also was amazed at how well youtube and other videos work.

Based on some posts you would think it is not useable. But in truth videos work fine.

Ome complaint was from an avid iPod fan who was trying to run videos at 740ish by 480 and was angry that tkhey were sluggish. (somehow that turned into an 'ipod is better' post)

so for people 'on the fence' about buying a n800/810... it will work fine if you have a good wifi connection and don't try 800x480 videos at 32 cps.

CoNCErning youtube... I stArt the video and then pause it and let it stream all the way if i really want to see something.
