Wondering if anyone knows a decent scientific/engineering style calculator for the N800?
The stock calculator app doesn't include functions & modes I need like: HEX, Binary, etc...

Something like gCalc would be fine.

Thnx!

I've just installed Free42 on my new N800. This is a perfect emulation of the HP42s RPN scientific calculator I've been using since 1989! All I need to do is make a nicer skin image...

Hope this helps,

I highly recommend galculator. It allows you to input functions for repetitive use. I put in a number of unit conversions. Really like the way it works.

Yes, I have to recomment galculator as well. Not only is it a handy calculator, but it also does RPN!

The link for gcalculator (http://michaels770.blogspot.com/2006...d-leafpad.html) has a link to an N770 installer package. Can I install this on my N800?

I tried it installing it on my N800 earlier today & it didn't work for me.
Is there anything we need to do 1st or are there library dependencies to get it to install?

thnx!

If you read the read in the comments on that post it writes:
'For anyone having trouble with Galculator, make sure you have libglade. http://www.opbyte.it/maemo/'

Maybe this helps.

From the naming of the file it also looks like it's for the 770 rather than n800
