The posts are partly in german, but later on we changed to 100% english:

I never thought that Maemo Wordpy could be very useful. I did this with the idea of writing a simple post once in a while, but I am glad to hear that it's useful to more people than myself.

BTW, I had already read some of your articles

my problems with wordpy:
- posts with images can only be assembled when online, because images are uploaded immediately.
- images are resized only with the html tag, not the real picture. as such, one has to upload big files also if you only want small images
Yes, they are two problems most important in Maemo Wordpy.
The first is much more difficult to implement than the second, and when I do it will be in that order. I don't put a date because I don't really know, but it will be fixed.

- when you want to include an image, Wordpy always shows you the root folder, so you have to click through to the picture folder for each picture
I look it. If that can be done will be very easy, a line no more.
And it should be the default behavior, if your are searching for a picture, where better than in the images folder.

- no categories from Wordpress XML-RPC
Yes. I don't know how they don't allow this in its API.

- no way to edit posts which are already on the server
This will also in future versions. it doesn't have a specific date, but will be sooner than later.

Of course, for a freeware application it is wonderful and I thank you a lot for all your work, After all, this is the ONLY properly working offline client which if found for N800 and WORDPRESS. if you want some inspiration for the image handling, please look at BLOGDESK, this is a freeware client which I use on my main computers every day, and it does everything I need:

thank you again,
karl.
Thak you Karl.

I will test Blogdesk and will implement some function in Maemo Wordpy, which can be useful, especially image handling. This is the perfect time, because I am making some changes in the user interface for the next version.

Cheers.

dear daniel,

thank you for the very detailed reply. As I mentioned I am really thankful for what you gave us already and I do not want to whine, but since you were asking, those are my comments...

if you update Wordpy please do not forget to place a "Donate via Paypal" button somewhere I can find it, I would definitely klick on it.--)))

with all the new N810's out there in one month, and no real Blogging client out there for MAEMO except your application, maybe this can bring you a small reward in the long run.

thanks again,
cheers,
karl.

Well, I have put a donate button on my blog some time ago, as an experiment. But I don't think that deserves nothing with my maemo karma is enough

All I can ask to users, is that if it's useful maemo wordpy for you that comment it in somewhere and if you might vote on the download page, it would be perfect: http://maemo.org/downloads/product/maemo-wordpy

And if maemo wordpy isn't useful for you, but you really would like to be able to blog from your IT, comment on things that I can improve maemo wordpy usability. I will be charming to receive this feedback.

I also believe that the N810 going to improve ease of blogging, as with the keyboard incorporated sure is a lot easier to write with it without having a portable keyboard and sure that there will be more people who can use it to do so.

Comment that maemo wordpy will support more options besides Wordpress, like Blogger, Livejournal, etc..
But it will be when maemo wordpy make things right with Wordpress and it will more complete.
