I'm ahead of the curve on something - that never happens! Have two on my desk, that I use all the time, and keep one in my laptop bag in a ziploc (they don't like dust & lint) for outside use. One keeps my 2.5" USB hard drive from meeting an untimely doom due to my clumsiness, plus dampens any vibrations.

The other on the desk - you guessed it, holding my tablet (with stand extended) to avoid me knocking it to the floor each time I reach for it.

OfficeMax/Depot/Staples usually have these available. If they get dirty, just rinse 'em off. Must be gummy bears all right - my kids think rinsing makes their gummy bears OK if they drop theirs!
