I am a Bellsouth DSL customer and I see that AT&T is offering WiFi for its DSL cusomers for free.
FREE to AT&T High Speed Internet Pro and Elite customers, Fast Access DSL Xtreme and Xtreme 6.0 customers, and AT&T U-verse customers WITH NO ORDERING REQUIRED!
A couple of questions.
Does it work with our equipment? Is anyone using this on their Nokia tablets?

I see the SSID is "attwifi" on the AT&T web site so I set up a connection on my N800. The instructions say you log in using the same username and password you would if you were signing in to DSL.
Now to go try and find a spot.

I hope it's OK to add this instead of posting a reply to myself. There is more information about AT&T / BellSouth WiFi. I got curious when investigating the Earthlink WiFi offer on the N800. They do have a disclaimer:
AT&T Wi-Fi Basic and Premier Subscription Services are not yet available in Connecticut, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
One message board reads:
AT&T is adding more free hotspots which will help out people with iPhones as well. If people start using this free wi-fi it makes the iPhone look better and AT&T's network look better as well.
DSL Reports shows screen shots of the McDonalds login. The UPS Store here (supposedly) has an AT&T hotspot. I'll go check it out.
