Hi,

how can I exchange data - not over USB - goal is Wlan ad-hoc Mode (or Bluetooth Apps on N800) with my MacBook pro or XP Laptop
  • Who has experience - Is that possible ????
Thanks for your Feedback

Frank

It works very well with my N800 and the Asus WLAN Storage over FTP

Frank,

I have setup PAN (Personal Area Networking) over bluetooth between my n800 and my Mac mini, and transferred files. But I have found that slower than using Wifi (with a Wireless Router). You can find a how-to on bluetooth at:
http://maemo.org/community/wiki/HOWT...oothNetworking

It should not be difficult to setup a Ad-hoc Wifi network, I just haven't done it. I would start by setting the Mac or XP machine in Ad-Hoc and then have the n800 connect to it as if it were an AP.

I hope this helps,

Craig...

Shouldn't your macbook just show up in the file manager application?
When i pair my motorola phone with my n800 via bluetooth, it shows up in the file manager. I can then move files between the phones mico sd card and the tablet.
This should work the same way with your macbook, at least I think that's the way it's suppose to work :-/
Maybe you need to setup a "shared bluetooth folder" or something like that on your mac.

good luck!
