I just got mine today

very nice , very excited, worked for about 10mins then no display other than the backlight on. Turned on and off, its making the right sounds so its booting. I flashed it no probs even though I could not see anything, still no good......

its going home in the morning

I wonder if this is a battery issue?

Right - before you un-do everything, remove the battery for 10 minutes...
Then put the battery back in and let it charge for 4 hours....
Then turn it back on!

LVTT:

Aye, sounds like battery.

But wouldn't he still have gotten *something* on AC?

I had a similar issue when I tried running straight off AC out of the box. I think it saps off the battery at a rate slower than it charges but the battery needs a bit of filler before it gets going. I sat in a Krispy Kreme in Michigan stealing electricity before heading back to Toronto and after 10 mins my buddy turned his on without a hitch... I gave it another 20 and set 'er up. I wouldn't give up so quickly, it's #*$&#&$ incredible. Just give it a chance.
