I can't make it work
I installed everything python related but here's what I get
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/grumby", line 744, in <module>
grumby = Grumby()
File "/usr/bin/grumby", line 130, in __init__
if self.channel_id == None:
AttributeError: 'Grumby' object has no attribute 'channel_id'
Thanks, it now runs Unfortunately every time I try too play a video in grumby it crashes with this error:
$ grumby
/usr/bin/python2.5: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/browser/plugins/libflashplayer.so: undefined symbol: esd_play_stream
After the install canola2 was broken too, with a env: python: No such file or directory error... d'oh!
The "no play video" error occurred for me after the first diablo software update. I had to remove all video-based selections from my channel. Upgrading to the latest chumby doesn't fix it since it appears to be a flash library related problem.
I can live without it, too bad we will miss the Wallstrip channel (the right way to get bad news from the economics world)
Now I have just to figure out why canola2 decided not to work...
Had the same problem installing, but this workaround worked for me, and now it works great--including video. Neat app! And a good way to get my friends/family intrigued by Chumby.
