FSVO "install". Normal Debian/ARM debs can be unpacked into an appropriate location using dpkg -x somepkg.deb /var/lib/install or - as root - /.
It won't handle dependencies or allow particularly easy uninstall however.

You can also use the slackware packages for ARM processors. I'm using them for a lot of commands (true grep, awk, sed, dig, ntp, whois, etc). They all work.

In general, can we just install arm .debs?
If not in general, can we install some?
Some experimentation may be due...
