Have you tried connecting to the 'public' ip adress while at home?
What kind of 'other access points' are you using? cell phone dialup? public library wifi? friends house wifi?

-g 800x600 kinda works, but there are no scroll bars to move around, ..... The best would be something like a combined -f and -g, full screen with some kind of scrolling (scroll keys would do, instead of cursor control, if cursor can still be controlled from a BT keyboard), am I asking for too much?
