So on my new n800 I have already experienced where the N800 alarms sometimes don't sound, and according to this guy's website, it's a bug in alarmd. (See: http://home.cfl.rr.com/genecash/nokia/index.html under PyAlarmd - second paragraph)

Does anyone know if this bug has been fixed in OS2008?

My N800 is running OS2008 Beta and I think some morning it doesn't ring... These mornings, I had to woke up at 6:40am and I heard it ring at 6:50am. Since the ring doesn't take care about the volume and stays ringing about one minute louder and louder, I think I can say it doesn't ring sometimes with OS 2008 (when looking at alarm parameters, I could see "6:40am" and not "6:50"*; and the clock was at 6:50).
Now I use my phone as alarm clock. I have to set the alarm before every night, but when I ask it to ring, it rings. Before I was using the calendar of the palm to make it rings two times every day excluding sunday, and it was working great (but the ringtones were horrible).

I've had my alarm go off, but only the screen would light up, no sound even if the volume was all the way up. It seems to work when I reset the alarm for a time on the same day, but not the next day. In any case, I wouldn't trust it to wake me up in the morning.

Do you have a port for 2007, 2008 port does not install on 2007 requires libc6 >=2.5.0-1

So does it fix the alarm bug that it now seems from the replies above, still exists in OS2008? And is there a port for OS2007?

it is a totally new program, command line, very sophisticated and complete,
for very complex tasks
nothing to do with alarmd. (unfortunately)
