I turned 54 last week. I'm a senior programmer/analyst and program in C++, VB, Java, and COBAL. My first computer was a TRS80. In college I wrote a football game in APL on an IBM Selectric terminal (no video display). I wrote a game in Commodore 128 Basic that was published in Computes Gazette magazine. It would be awesome being a teenager now with all the hi tech toys available. We built and played with shortwave radios when I was 15.
first computer: Atari 65XE + tape, then s/tape/floppy drive. Then Amiga 600 (with hdd), 1200 (with hdds, cd, 68040, 64MB ram), PC (from Duron 600 to Core2Quad).
palmtops: palm m105 (sold) -> sony clie sj30 (sold) -> zaurus sl-5500 (donated for developer who works on 2.6 kernel for it) -> zaurus c760 (still have). Also have nokia 770 (got it free boxed), nokia n810, palmpilot 5000 (nostalgic value).
