Sorry for the ignorance

but what exactly is a photocast and how do I enter a valid photocast in Canola 2 ?
I tried my flickr URL (to my flickr stream) and it says invalid.

Any ideas about the photocast feature ?

Hi,
It is supposed to support "standard" photo (media ) feeds. like flickr and PIcasa webalbums, I don't know why reggie but we keep getting those small photos from some feeds. (with links to bigger ones) I will take a look witht he guys on thar part to see what we can do, But in our plans the goal was to have a flickr "ball" =)

Works fine with google Picasa Webalben, also the private ones.

In your Picasa Album, just copy the RSS Link from the right bottom corner in Canola settings->internet media->photocasts

Yes, indeed this was supposed to be a " Flickr Feeds" and a Picasa Feeds icon, and I do admit that looks "strange" =) but we are working in ways to make it easier for you guys to add feeds of any kind to Canola. Our first shot will be in the MBrowser extension world.

Reggie & Handful, with regard to the small images from our Flickr feeds I recorded a bug/enhancement https://garage.maemo.org/tracker/ind...=125&atid=1989 in the Canola tracker

Allright, this time I got my Flickr feed working as a photocast on C2
I had to plug in the URL for the RSS feed (initially I had only entered the URL for my Flickr stream). The RSS feed link goes like ... http://api.flickr.com/feeds/....

It is the Link at the very bottom - "Subscribe to <users> photos - Latest | Geofeed | KML " and use the "Latest" or the RSS link feed link as the URL for the photocast.

The photos seem to come less than full size on the C2 screen though. Not too small either.

I thought SPEEDY's advice re Picasa would see me getting access through Canola2 BUT it don't work for me. I typed the whole url of the rss link into Canola as directed but It does not show in the Photocasts screen and there is just a blank URL box back in the settings area. What am I doing wrong -help?????
