The n800 would get nowhere near the battery life of an ipod, i get almost 30 hours from mine and it has 80gb too.
It depends on whats important to you, for me it would never replace a mp3 player as I listen about 8 hours a day.

Doesn't media player get about 4 hours? Use two batteries and leave the i-PUD at home. LOL!

Well I have that new samsung juke which i listen to music with. Sound quality is pretty darn good too btw.

I figure if im going somewhere that 2 gb's of music isnt enough, Ill have a backpack or jacket big enough to toss the n800 in
