I'm impressed more by your lack of name calling this time around than your claim of being an editor. Fortunately, I too have had experience as a technical editor and contributor in the ExtremeTech series of books. Here is one of them:

My work has also been featured in four magazine articles, including the one you can see to the left of my name. But who cares about who did what better than whom.
PS: You do seem to have far too many spelling and logical errors to hold claim to an editing post, but I'll still assume you are one for the sake of the conversation. See example below in red, replace with something like "speaker wielding the club" would be a better fit

Maybe the wave-er just made the word up, but it can be used just fine.
I do agree with this claim. But it only works when there is no preconceived ideas associated with the word. As an editor you must add comments to material for revision by the author: to clarify ideas to the reader. That is your function. So when the author writes "I'm going to hit you with my gzormplat!" with no prior information on said noun- you should be raising flags. Especially if you are editing an academic publication! And if the author attempts to modify the intent of a KNOWN word, they had better come up with a foundation to base the statement on so the reader isn't misled. The basis of communication is founded on the cooperative agreement of symbols used to represent ideas, and in the editing world you must be ever more precise about the representation of ideas.
I'm glad you are willing to criticize yourself as it's not only good to say you are not always right, it's a fact that everyone shares. I too share the same flaw. Maybe you've jumped ship after all.

EDIT: This has gone way off topic so therefore I digress.
You can just google "zeusenergy" anyway, for a wealth of subjects I have had input on if you really want to take me to task. And thanks for patronizing my defensive skills.
