The speed with which people have ported apps to os2008 has been great. There are only a few programs that I used to use that are not currently working.

* Abiword. (Maybe we could just get a beta of 6.0?)
* Evince (The new pdf viewer is almost a substitute, but not for long books)
* A2DP stereo bluetooth.
* A scientific/financial calculator
* Faint or another image program
* The 'tuner' app (one of my favorites!)
* StarDict
* Gconf
* Idea app launcher

Needless to say, I am very happy with the energy of this community. Thanks to everyone, including those working on the above programs!

Edit: I just noticed SDict is now available so I can cross that off. Thanks Igor!

free42 is now working on os2008. it's an absolute ripper of a scientific calc i reckon.

the only thing i'm missing is an app to auto download webpages for offline reading, like for news sites. i used to use avantgo on palm, something like that would be great. i agree though, there's been a lot of busy good devs out there

Yes, I would like something like Avantgo myself. It might be sorta almost working in the Palm version...

The posts I've seen say Avantgo crashes the Garnet VM big time, so maybe not yet!

I need Gnumeric myself. The os2008 version has some serious bugs so far...But I know it's being worked on so here's hoping for a fixed version soon!
