I'm starting this thread to make it easy to find this information, which was previously incomplete. It seems to work under OS2008.

From an old thread and PM. All credit to gsagers.

I've compiled ccrypt and bcrypt for the N800, both are commandline file encryption tools. Both should be cross-platform, I've used them between Linux & Windows before. They're straight builds from the Ubuntu source, no porting needed, so there shouldn't be any problems with them (of my causing, at least!). They're available at:

bcrypt (http://sagers.homelinux.org/n800/bcrypt_1.1-3_armel.deb)
ccrypt (http://sagers.homelinux.org/n800/ccrypt_1.7-9_armel.deb)

install it by using dpkg -i <packagename.deb> from a command line. You'll need to be root to use dpkg.
