They don't. You just go to Grandcentral.com and click on the 'reserve number for me'. When a number comes up (usually in a few days unless you are in a high demand market) they send you an invite.
Of course it's been a year since anyone has reported back actual confirmed sucess. Let us know how that works for you, happy2cu.
I guess it's better to close this thread before it starts filling up with "plz give me the codez" messages.
