Stay away from MS excel, create and edit your spreadsheet on the tablet, there is no cell format issue. If you do have an existing spreadsheet, read it into the desktop PC version of Gnumeric (1.7.12), save it as .gnumeric, NOT EXCEL, then copy it back to the tablet, that will bypass the cell format issue.
