    What video file types can I play on the 770?

    I found an mplayer binary that works reasonably well if you don't expect too much in terms of resolution/framerate.

    I did too. I found that I had to have a specific folder made just for the completed videos. Then point it to that folder for the output. After I did those things, I have completed a couple videos successfully.
