This may have been noted before but I just noticed it and I thought it should be documented in case it is some how helpful to someone looking into the power on issue that many people are reporting. So I was just trying out Canola and it was freezing up on me during video playback, and when trying to play back a certain podcast, I thought I'd restart the N810. Knowing that there is a 90% change that it wouldn't turn back on after I shut it off, I wasn't surprised when it didn't come back on. One thing I did notice though is that when I press the power button I hear some poping coming through my speakers (its plugged in through the audio jack) so at least that says that something is happening inside the unit even when it isn't turning on.
