hi,
I have the same google talk on my pc and nokia, so if I leave it on my pc, while I am away, ppl leave me msgs. I am considering getting a new account to prevent it. what so you use to prevent this? what heppens when both devices are connected to the account at home? will both ALWAYS show the incoming msgs?
same question for SIP accounts
Thanks
Niv

Yes, you can run two instances of the same account on different devices. Unfortunately, in my experience, messages get redirected to the wrong account and only shows away/online status for one user.

I've the same account for skype on both, but the desktop instance shows "away" after 10 minutes; if the handheld instance is active I would expect no problems getting calls. If there is a prob I can always shut one instance down.

Running IMs on the handheld and the PC, especially XMPP on Pidgin, I find that if I sign in on one machine it automatically forces a signout on the other.
